PETER J. SOSIN
Peter J. Sosin is the founder and managing partner of the law firm of Sosin Law.
His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, and trial
practice, particularly in high stakes and emergency matters. Mr. Sosin has
significant experience in real estate litigation, business disputes, and
landlord/tenant cases, as well as general commercial disputes. His experience
is bolstered by his demonstrated ability to aggressively litigate cases while
simultaneously developing creative and cost-effective settlement solutions to
complex problems on behalf of the firm’s clients. Mr. Sosin has served as lead
counsel or co-lead counsel on dozens of multimillion dollar litigation matters
and currently represents institutional property owners, developers, contractors,
property managers, investors, homeowners associations, business owners, and
other law firms in litigation matters and disputes across Florida.
Mr. Sosin has also devoted significant pro bono time related to election law and
voter protection issues. He served as co-lead counsel for a judicial candidate in
the highly contested and highly publicized 2008 election recount for Circuit
Court Judge in Palm Beach County, Florida. The ensuing successful litigation
in Leon County, Florida, helped to protect every citizen’s right to vote and to
have that vote counted. Mr. Sosin has also devoted time and resources for
presidential, gubinatorial, and senatorial races in Florida.
A graduate of the University of Miami School of Law and Brandeis University,
Mr. Sosin lives in Boca Raton, Florida, with his family. He is a member of the
Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the United States District Court for
the Southern District of Florida, and the United States District Court for the
Middle District of Florida. Mr. Sosin serves on the Board of Directors of a non-
profit organization and enjoys fishing and outdoor related activities in his
spare time.
